Camped and ate there. All really good. Nice food, friendly people and a nice small site with good walking on the doorstep. Recommended!!

Faultless meal and service. Everything was excellent - there was a large selection of amazing dishes on offer, staff were extremely friendly, food arrived quickly and was delicious. I haven't had a meal/ dining exclusive that good in a long time. If only we were staying in the area longer, I would have visited every night for a week
This is the 3rd time for us to eat at The Royal oak. I was disappointed that I couldn't have my usual lamb shank. Which I understand is a seasonal dish...last two times were out of season visits. But wow...my liver and bacon dish was melt into the mouth delicious. My hubby had the fabulous pork belly... Yummy yum. Couldn't manage to have a pudding. Good service too Be back soon.
Good menu plus specials covering fish, steak, pie, pasta, curry, vegetarian. Service was attentive. Price is excellent (my meal was 25 a head Inc drink). Very popular, so quite noisy and booking a must.
Superb food. Great service - depending on the waiter/waitress (so a little room for improvement). Keep up the good work.
